Rockbank Residence


The team at Ginger Jar had the pleasure of furnishing both the indoor and outdoor spaces of this stunning residence in West Vancouver. Our modern furniture from Gamma, Sovet Italia, Calligaris, Bontempi, Cierre, Vondom and Manutti complement the home’s West Coast modernist style and spectacular ocean and city views.

Our clients chose the Sunset sectional, one the iconic models from the Gamma collection, to furnish their open living room. They fell in love with quality details, like the open, edge-to-edge stitching and perforated leather of the back cushion, and practical details, like adjustable backrests and lightweight base that lifts the sofa off the floor.

In the intimate dining room, the Calligaris Omnia extending table was selected with a walnut frame to compliment the custom built-in millwork of African hardwood used throughout the house. Ceramic was the material of choice for the dining tabletop due to its strength, durability and ease of care and maintenance.

Our Eva II bed by Cierre anchors the master bedroom. The plush, soft, quilted headboard covered in luxurious Italian leather is the perfect place to rest and relax at the end of the day. A surprising feature for our clients is that the headboard is equipped with an adjustable mechanism to move the headboard forward and support the neck when reading.

Outside, Vondom’s Surf Chaise, Stone Lounge Chairs and Voxel dining group make a statement on the home’s various terraces, where their organic, geometric and facetted shapes match the rocky outcrops of its surroundings. Our clients also fell in love with the Manutti Kumo lounge group for its playful aesthetic.
